Every zodiac sign has its strengths. They may be creative, artistic, technical or investigative talents. Astrology suggests that education works best when these abilities are recognised early and supported consistently. Here is how, according to tradition, each sign learns, what it needs from parents and teachers, and in which fields it can flourish as an adult.
Aries – ambitious, but in need of a role model
Little Aries children can be prone to putting off their studies, so it is worth gently keeping an eye on their routine. They learn by imitation and do well when they have a role model to follow. They are ambitious, quick-witted and pick up knowledge fast, although they often lack self-belief – so they need someone to support and motivate them.
Besides general knowledge, Aries are drawn to mechanics, technical drawing and design. They also enjoy music, which helps them unwind. Older Aries often become teachers or coaches, or set up their own businesses.
Taurus – an artist who learns at their own pace
Taurus children have an artistic, creative nature and are often very musical. They are not always model pupils, as they learn slowly and love to daydream. They need encouragement to master the basics of general knowledge, which will later allow them to develop in more creative directions.
Taureans are practical and sensible, with an innate flair for building and making things, gardening, cooking, hairdressing, dressmaking and construction. An adult Taurus can also do well in finance and business – provided they overcome their fear of risk.
Gemini – bright and brilliant
Gemini children are quick and sparkling, so they usually do very well at school. They learn to count and read with great ease. Their biggest danger is losing faith in themselves – if that happens, a parent should respond quickly and give the child some reassurance.
The most valuable skills for Gemini are reading and writing, using computers and new technology, and communicating with people. In adult life they often become journalists or economists.
Cancer – gifted, but in need of encouragement
Young Cancerians are bright, but at school they do not always want to stand out from the crowd. It is best to encourage them to master the basics and then support the development of their excellent artistic and musical talents. As they grow older, Cancerians often turn out to be highly enterprising and start their own businesses. Rather than years of university study, they frequently prefer specific, practical courses and training.
Leo – great potential that needs direction
Leo children can be exceptionally brilliant, but not very persistent. They can drive their parents to frustration, because they could achieve anything that caught their interest – the trouble is that they often do not know themselves what interests them. For many Leos real learning only begins in adulthood, once they have found their direction and start to train further, often on the job.
Leos get to grips easily with computers and all kinds of machines. They thrive in management positions, which is why they often study marketing and management.
Virgo – an analytical mind and gentle support
Virgo children are obliging, helpful and keen to learn. They are highly intelligent, with outstanding analytical abilities. They can, however, be nervous and unsure of themselves, and other children sometimes tease them, which can hold back their development. Gentle, patient treatment from their parents helps them rebuild their sense of self-worth.
In adult life Virgos make excellent employees, though they more often work for someone else than for themselves. Their education never ends – they keep training and studying throughout their lives.
Libra – charm that is worth backing up with knowledge
Young Librans are not always eager to study, but thanks to their personal charm they get along very well. Even so, they need a solid basic education to cope in adult life – sometimes they need a gentle push to get going.
Librans enjoy technical challenges and computers, and many of them find their place in the uniformed services. An adult Libra may also become an artist, a fashion designer, a lawyer or a real jack of all trades.
Scorpio – an enthusiast who gets to the bottom of things
From an early age Scorpio is hard-working and has a strong competitive instinct. Usually one particular subject fascinates them, and they study it inside out. If a teacher recognises a young Scorpio’s talents, they will gain a devoted pupil who is eager to cooperate. Some Scorpios, however, can be headstrong and may refuse to do a task so that they can concentrate on whatever happens to absorb them at the moment.
Scorpios need a solid outlet for their inner energy – sport works wonderfully here. An adult Scorpio is happy to keep learning in order to gain a new profession or qualifications.
Sagittarius – curious about the world and unusual activities
Sagittarius is quick, intelligent and very diligent – provided they have the chance to play sport. They get on brilliantly with their peers and are not afraid of teachers, while still treating them with respect. They love unusual activities, so it is worth encouraging them to master the duller basics as quickly as possible – this will open the way to more interesting skills.
Many Sagittarians are interested in electronics and the media. Throughout their lives they learn on unconventional courses and keep broadening their horizons.
Capricorn – a diligent pupil who needs to believe in themselves
Capricorns are calm, diligent and intelligent. They pay attention in lessons, do their homework and pass exams without difficulty. Even so, they often lack faith in their own abilities. Calm, soothing sport does them good. Older Capricorns benefit from anything that supports their career – and they learn best when learning is a pleasure rather than an obligation.
Aquarius – an explorer of everything new
Aquarius children are highly intelligent and love everything innovative and unusual. They adore learning and devour books with enthusiasm, and their education does not stop at the school gates. They are fascinated by history, geography, psychology and the liberal arts. Anything out of the ordinary they simply have to investigate and understand. Aquarius is an individualist and often chooses a rare, unconventional profession.
Pisces – dreamers with an artistic soul
At school Pisces are very quiet, rarely speak up and can be almost invisible to their teachers. They are often away with the fairies instead of thinking about their lessons. If, however, a teacher takes an interest in their abilities, they can become excellent pupils.
Pisces have many artistic and creative talents. In adult life they often become musicians, visual artists or teachers of humanities subjects.
Talent is only the beginning
Astrological descriptions can help you notice where a child has a chance to blossom, but they cannot replace careful observation and conversation. Every little Aries, Cancer or Aquarius is different – what matters most is supporting their passions and their self-belief.
