Most of the prophecies that have come down to us were written on paper or parchment. A prophecy of a very special kind, however, is made up of 2.3 million blocks of limestone and is known as the Pyramid of Cheops.
The Pyramid of Cheops is counted among the Seven Wonders of the World. It was the largest building site of all antiquity. According to records from the 5th century BC, around 100,000 workers a year laboured on it for more than 20 years.
Even with today’s advanced construction technology, such an undertaking would be unthinkable. So who built it, and why?
According to historians, it was intended as the tomb of the pharaoh Cheops. The pyramids conceal an almost unimaginable body of ancient knowledge: the number Pi, Pythagoras’ theorem and evidence of an extraordinary grasp of trigonometry are encoded in the proportions of their dimensions.

The pyramid was completed around 2570 BC. According to our science, Pythagoras came up with the constant Pi around 500 BC, and the beginnings of trigonometry date from around 200 BC. So where did the ancient Egyptians get this knowledge?
The Arab writer Abu Zaid el-Balkhi quoted in his works an inscription according to which the Great Pyramid was built 73,000 years ago – something unimaginable to modern people. Interestingly, radiocarbon (C14) measurements apparently indicated an age of over 71,000 years, but these findings were ignored.
This is where further questions begin. Was the pyramid a giant astronomical observatory? Or is it a message for future generations?
It was first opened around AD 820 and turned out to be empty: no sarcophagi, no mummies, none of the objects traditionally given to the dead for their journey to the afterlife.
Robbers were blamed, yet according to researchers the site was equipped with a truly ingenious anti-intrusion security system.
According to most Egyptologists, the pyramids were not burial places.
To this day this remains a great mystery. Its cosmic design, mysteriously concentrated in the so-called King’s Chamber, has been studied continuously since its discovery.
An intriguing piece of research was carried out by the Englishman John Taylor around 1865. Through complex measurements and numerological calculations, he concluded that the pyramid, with its chambers and passages, represents one great message in which events of the past and future are encoded.
The monument is said to reflect 6,000 years of human history, from the birth of Adam, dated to 4000 BC, to the end of the world.
This date falls at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st.
Classical interpreters give 2444 as the year of the end of the world. According to them, between 2013 and 2090 we will enter a “new light”; beyond that there are no more dates – only hope remains.
